Hung Tran
President & Founder, VietHome LLC
Hung Tran brings a rare combination of journalistic instinct, political access, and business acumen to cross-border investment. Over a 13-year career in journalism — covering post-war recovery, climate policy, and Vietnam's economic transformation — he built relationships at the highest levels of government and industry across Southeast Asia. In 2013, he was posted to Washington, D.C. as the U.S. Correspondent for Vietnam Television, where he developed an extensive network of American policymakers, lobbyists, congressional staffers, and business leaders.
That network became the foundation of VietHome LLC. Before founding VietHome, Hung served as the U.S. representative for GARCO 10 — one of Vietnam's largest garment manufacturers, with 19 factories, over 10,000 employees, and more than $90 million in annual sales — facilitating business delegations and investment meetings with tribal governments and municipal leaders across the United States. He has since presented to county economic development boards, engaged with Native American tribal leadership, and built working relationships with state and federal officials on behalf of international clients.
Today, as founder and President of VietHome LLC, Hung leads a team dedicated to connecting Southeast Asian capital with high-potential U.S. investment opportunities — from rural real estate and renewable energy to infrastructure and hospitality. He maintains an active investor network spanning Vietnam, Singapore, and the broader ASEAN region, and is a vocal advocate for policies — including Rural Opportunity Zones 2.0 — that make American communities more accessible to international investment.
